Join Process Assessment of the Learner (PAL) author, Virginia Wise Berninger, PhD, as she provides an overview of the model for screen/intervene, problem-solving consultations. She will cover differential diagnosis/specialized instruction for dysgraphia, dyslexia, and OWL-LD in the Revised PAL-II User Guide for Reading and Writing and for dyscalculia in the Revised PAL-II User Guide for Math. The Revised PAL Instructional Materials will also be discussed.  

After a brief review of the history of Process Assessment of the Learner (PAL) instructional and assessment tools, PAL author, Virginia Wise Berninger, PhD, will focus on the unique features of four recently revised PAL instructional products. She will also discuss the assessment/instruction links for the screen/intervene model to prevent reading and writing difficulties, problem solving consultation for struggling readers and writers, and differential diagnosis. 

Dr. Berninger will share specialized instruction for Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, and OWL LD in the Revised User Guide for PAL II Reading and Writing and for screen/intervene to prevent math difficulties, problem solving consultation for struggles in arithmetic, and diagnosis and specialized instruction for Dyscalculia (Revised User Guide for PAL II Math). Application to students not on grade level after virtual education during the pandemic will also be discussed
