The WAIS-5 is the newest revision in the long line of trusted Wechsler instruments to assess cognitive ability and its components in adults ages 16–90:11. It provides a time-efficient way to obtain a Full-Scale IQ, while also allowing the calculation of the same five Primary Index Scores clinicians know from the WISC-V — Verbal Comprehension, Visual Spatial, Fluid Reasoning, Working Memory, and Processing Speed — as well as a host of new Ancillary Index Scores.
