Audience: This session is targeted for experienced users of The Work Sampling System who need an overview of the system.

Course description: This 3-hour workshop will cover how to collect and interpret evidence of a child's skills, knowledge, and behavior, and use the findings to take action.

Learning objectives: After attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Use the Developmental Guidelines to describe developmentally appropriate end-ofyear expectations in the Work Sampling domains
  • Identify performance indicators in each of the selected domains that provide information about a child’s skills, knowledge, and behavior
  • Describe how to document observations of children as they perform routine activities in their natural environment
  • Link observational data to Work Sampling performance indicators"
