Brian Imhoff

Dr. Brian Imhoff received his Ph.D. in Spanish linguistics from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign). His publications include a critical edition of a colonial Spanish expeditionary text (2002) and peer-reviewed articles in Hispanic Review, Bulletin of Hispanic Studies, La corónica, Neuphilologische Mitteilungen, Lexis, among other journals. Professor Imhoff is editor of the Comparative Romance Linguistics annual bibliographies; he also directs the electronic edition of same. Professor Imhoff's primary teaching duties include advanced UG Spanish language and linguistics, and graduate-level historical Spanish linguistics and Colonial Spanish paleography. He has directed study abroad programs in Mexico (Puebla and Cuernavaca) and Spain (Salamanca and Toledo), and has taught Texas A&M classes in Castiglion Fiorentino (Italy).
