Robert W. Keith, PhD

Robert W. Keith, PhD is and adjunct professor of audiology in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Cincinnati where he is also professor emeritus in the Department of Otolaryngology. He teaches doctoral level courses and advises both PhD and AuD students and student research in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

 

Dr. Keith is a graduate of the University of Iowa, and he was an NIH Fogerty International Fellow from 1975-76. He is Board Certified in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology, and in 1999 he was elected to the American Board of Audiology where he served as chair until December 2002. Dr. Keith holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. He is also a Fellow of American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Dr. Keith was a founding member of the American Academy of Audiology from the time of its organization in 1988 to 1996. He served as president of AAA from 1994 to 1995 and during 1997 and 1998 he chaired the AAA Committee on Honors.

 

His accomplishments include serving as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Ear and Hearing from 1985 to 1993. He currently serves as consultant to several audiology journals.
