Audience: This session is targeted for professionals who are new to the CELF-5 or who need indepth training on administration and scoring of the CELF–5 subtests and basic interpretation of the results.

Course description: This 6-hour session provides an in-depth understanding of subtest administration and scoring, and a basic understanding of interpretation.

Learning objectives: After attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the conceptual structure of the CELF–5
  • Explain general guidelines for subtest administration and scoring
  • Discuss administration and scoring of five of the CELF–5 subtests
  • Calculate raw scores and derive scaled scores and standard scores
  • Describe the CELF–5 interpretive process to identify strengths and weaknesses in language
  • List treatments and interventions indicated by assessment results
