Aligned State Early Childhood standards
You can now relate what you have learned about a child’s basic concept mastery directly to the goals established by your state for students’ academic achievement. This will facilitate communication with teachers and school administrators and allow for development of integrated and comprehensive intervention goals. View how BBCS—3:R aligns to your Early Childhood State Standards.
The concepts assessed in the BBCS-3:R are also included in the eight basic curricular categories identified in the assessment standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC, 2004 draft standards.)

Bias and Content Review
Items were selected and reviewed by an expert panel to maximize cultural sensitivity. The panel reviewed the verbal and visual stimuli for perceived gender, racial/ethnic, socioeconomic status, and regional biases.
Standardization and Clinical Samples
The normative sample included 750 children and is based on the 2003 U.S. Census. There were 80 children per 6-month interval from ages 3:0-6:11 years.
Clinical samples included children with language impairments and children with Mental Retardation.
Universally Transcends
Both the item selection and the test structure took into consideration the universal need for such an evaluation. The means to which children obtain this knowledge is similar across not only languages, but also cultures. Therefore, Bracken products are appropriate in multi-culturally populated communities.
Involve Parents and Teachers
The BBCS-3:R includes a Parent/Teacher Conference Form. It can be used to help communicate to parents and teachers a child’s performance and outlines conceptual instruction for both at home and in the classroom.
