Behavior and Social Wellness
BASC SWSS
The BASC™ Social Wellness Skills System (BASC™ SWSS) gives educators the tools and information they need to confidently build student behavioral, social, and emotional wellness skills and improve classroom climate. The BASC SWSS screening and skill building components identify strengths and areas of needed improvement in self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship, responsible decision-making, and classroom readiness skills and provide an evidence-based set of student-led skill building activities aligned with each area.
The BASC SWSS Components:
Screeners - In 5 minutes or less per form, Teacher, Student, and Parent Screening Forms are designed to be used universally to provide a brief, reliable, and accurate evaluation of classroom readiness and CASEL-aligned social wellness skills.
Student-led skill builder - The BASC SWSS Student Skill Builder can free up instructional time by leveraging the student-led skill building lessons. Lessons can be delivered individually, in a group, or sent home with your students for at-home learning opportunities.
BASC-4 BESS
The BASC-4 Behavioral and Emotional Screening System is designed for schools, mental health clinics, pediatric clinics, communities, and researchers to screen for a variety of behavioral and emotional disorders that can lead to adjustment problems.
The BASC-4 BESS on Review360 consists of three brief forms that range from 21 to 30 items and can be completed by teachers, parents, or students.
- Teacher form with two levels: Preschool (for ages 3 through 5) and Child/Adolescent (for Grades K through 12)

SSIS™
The SSIS Edition provides evidence-based tools to assess and teach skills in each of the five competencies:
- Self-Awareness
- Self-Management
- Social Awareness
- Relationship Skills
- Responsible Decision Making
The five components to SSIS on Review360
- SSIS Brief + Mental Health Scales: Brief, norm-referenced universal screeners that can be completed by a teacher, parent, or student for social learning skills and/or mental health.
- Progress Monitoring Scale: A criterion-referenced teacher-completed form that provides a quick evaluation of an entire class across the five areas. The results are directly aligned with the Skill Units from the Class-wide Intervention Program that includes a criterion-referenced assessment of three academic areas, providing guidance that targets interventions to the specific needs of a classroom of students.
- Rating Forms: More in-depth norm-referenced assessments administered individually and completed by teachers, parents, or students. Results include standard scores, item analysis, and links to suggested Skill Units in the intervention.
- SSIS Classwide Intervention Program 2020 (CIP): The SSIS CIP 2020 now includes 30 Skill Units covering Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision Making using a highly effective instructional approach with all digital materials (PowerPoints, videos, etc.) to maximize engagement.
- Review360 Professional Development Course: Review360 includes an online course that assists educators in integrating assessment and instruction into their instructional and support processes. The course is comprised of 13 units that cover a range of relevant topics, including the importance of social wellness, how it improves student-teacher and student relationships, and strategies for promoting social wellness.
Dyslexia
Shaywitz DyslexiaScreen™
The Shaywitz DyslexiaScreen emphasizes phonological, linguistic, and academic performance from teacher observations or, in the case of adolescents and adults, from self-ratings of past and current performance.
Currently, the Shaywitz DyslexiaScreen includes six individual forms across the age range. For Grades K-3 (Forms 0-3), a teacher completing Shaywitz DyslexiaScreen rates statements regarding a student's language and frequency of academic behaviors. For Adolescent-Adult and Corrections Forms, the individual self-rates. The Shaywitz DyslexiaScreen includes four forms:
- Form 0 is for teachers of students ages 5:0 through 6:11, typically in kindergarten, and consists of 10 items.
- Form 1 is for teachers of students ages 6:0 through 7:11, typically in Grade 1, and consists of 12 items.
- Form 2 is for teachers of students ages 7:0 through 8:11, typically in Grade 2, and consists of 10 items.
- Form 3 is for teachers of students ages 8:0 through 9:11, typically in Grade 3, and consists of 10 items.
- The Adolescent-Adult Form is for individuals ages 14 through 65 and consists of 10 items.
- The Corrections Form is for incarcerated individuals ages 18 through 65 and consists of 10 items.

Incident management and reporting assists staff with the identification of chronic behaviors and tracks teacher strategies. It is included with all license types: Special Education, General Education, Total Behavior. See the three methods below:
In-class (Teacher/Classroom Managed) Incidents
In Class or Teacher/Classroom managed incidents are events that teachers should handle in the classroom as opposed to sending to the office for an administrator. Staff responses can be noted on the incident form, if configured, but no “consequence” can be applied. Examples of In-class type incidents include: In-class incident, Teacher-Managed incidents, Positive Behavior incident.
Administrative Review
Incidents that a teacher thinks should be handled/escalated to an administrator. Administrators review the incident and determine if the incident should be closed with no further action, request more information from the sending teacher, or escalate the incident into the discipline category. Examples of Admin Review type incidents: Office Referral, Bullying Review.
Discipline
Incidents that are handled by administrators and may require a consequence. Examples of Discipline type incidents: Office/Discipline, Bullying, Seclusion, Restraint. Disciplinary placements (consequences) that do not provide services will count towards the 10-day Rule for 504 and SPED students.
Aggregated reports are available at the classroom, school, and district level these include a variety of reports which highlight: incident by behavior, consequence/action, ethnicity, gender, grade, location, month, reporter, staff involved, staff response, student, and more.
