The Miller Analogies Test evaluates the analytical thinking ability of graduate student candidates.
Miller Analogies Test (MAT)
The printed MAT Technical Manual (Pearson, 2021) is available only to qualified professionals. It contains detailed data for the current normative sample, percentile ranks, and compendium tables that can be used to compare the previous 2017 percentile ranks with the current percentile ranks.

The MAT Proctor Console and Practice Test is compatible with the following browsers:
- Microsoft Edge® 88.0 and above
- Google Chrome® 88.0 and above
If MAT is accessed via a browser other than those recommended above, key functions may not work properly. We will not grant any refunds for practice tests that cannot be accessed as a result of browser incompatibility.
Transport Layer Security (TLS)
To access the secure areas of the MAT, your browser must support 256-bit encryption (also called domestic-grade, U.S.-grade, high, or strong encryption) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.2 protocol.
