An interim assessment with the needs of K–2 students in mind

The Pearson Review of Progress and Learning (PRoPL) is a quick and accurate interim assessment that provides educators, students, and families with powerful information about student growth during the school year and forecasts where they're expected to be at the end of the year.

Beginning in the fall semester of 2024, PRoPL will include reading and math assessments for kindergarten through second grade. When designing the features that would support learners in K–2, we considered the specific needs of students in these early years. The resulting PRoPL K–2 assessments measure what students know and can do, with a test design that supports students at various developmental levels.
