Assessing memory in a school setting Webinar (Register Now)
Presenter(s): Gloria Maccow, PhD
This one-hour webinar describes the assessment process that allows us to understand why a particular student is struggling with learning and remembering.
Why do some students remember information immediately after they hear it, but not the following day? Why do others struggle with mental math? To learn and remember information, students must encode or register the information. They must hold the information in short-term memory until a permanent memory trace is created in long-term memory, and they must retrieve the information from long-term storage to demonstrate their acquired skills and knowledge.
