Learn What You Need to Teach

Teaching resources are limited and classroom time is precious. Pearson helps you maximize your resources with diagnostic assessments that provide critical information about each student before classroom instruction starts, including:

  • Does the student have the prerequisite skills needed to master the material to be taught?

  • What is the student’s current level of knowledge and mastery?

  • Could the student be gifted and talented or have learning difficulties that would suggest further testing or reclassification to a higher or lower level

Pearson’s diagnostic assessments helps you answer to these questions, while also providing a “baseline” against which student progress can be measured throughout the year. Comparing diagnostic scores with on-going progress monitoring throughout the year helps teachers identify material that students need more help mastering, adjust instruction, and create individualized learning plans for students as indicated.
