9th Annual Millon Clinical Inventories Conference to be held October 18–20 in Minneapolis
August 20, 2002, MINNEAPOLIS—Psychologists and other mental health professionals throughout the country will gather in Minneapolis October 18–20 to learn more about the Millon Clinical Inventories from preeminent experts in the field—including Theodore Millon, PhD, DSc. The Millon Clinical Inventories are based on Dr. Millon’s personality theory.
The Millon Conference is the definitive training program for clinicians to help support their use of the Millon Clinical Inventories, which help assess Axis I and Axis II personality disorders. Participants will have a special opportunity to meet and talk with Dr. Millon and network with some of the foremost practitioners in the fields of personality theory and psychopathology.
Keynote Presentations
Keynote presentations will include “The Place of Assessment in Clinical Science” by Dr. Millon; “Current Models and Future Directions for Treating Personality Disorders” by Jeffrey Magnavita, PhD, ABPP; and “Reflections on 9/11: An Insider’s Perspective” by George Everly, PhD, FAPM.
Workshop Tracks
Participants choose from three tracks: Basic, Assessment, and Therapy. Basic theory workshops on the MCMI-III (Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory-III), MBMD (Millon Behavioral Medicine Diagnostic) and MACI (Millon Adolescent Clinical Inventory) assessments will be offered, as will workshops on assessment and treatment for adult forensics, corrections, PTSD, personality disorders, borderline personality, adolescents, and neuropsychology.
New Workshops
Workshops new to this year’s schedule include “Self Awareness, Countertransference and the MCMI-III Test” led by Neil Bockian, PhD; “Treatment Planning for Personality Disorders, Multiple Theoretical Perspectives,” also led by Dr. Bockian; and “Schematherapy for Patients with Histories of Childhood Trauma” led by David Bernstein, PhD.
CE Credits
The American Psychological Association and the Minnesota Board of Psychology approved the program for up to 17 CE credits.

Dr. Millon is founding editor of the Journal of Personality Disorders, past president of the International Society for the Study of Personality Disorders, and presently serves as dean for the Institute for Advanced Studies in Personology and Psychopathology, which he established in 1994.
