To take a Versant test, a test-taker is provided with a test paper and instructions , and either makes a phone call or utilizes a PC to interact with the Ordinate testing system.
Versant for English
Test-takers are asked to read aloud, repeat sentences, answer questions, and build sentences. They are also asked open-ended questions so that administrators can better appreciate the test-taker's spontaneous fluency and rhetorical skill.

Versant for Spanish*
Test-takers are asked to read aloud, repeat sentences, identify opposites, answer questions, and build sentences. They are also asked open-ended questions and to retell stories so that administrators can better appreciate the test-taker's spontaneous fluency and rhetorical skill.
