Kevin Brueggeman
President, Education Division

Kevin Brueggeman joined Harcourt Assessment in September 2006 and leads the newly-formed Education Assessment Products and Services (EAPS) group as President, Education Division.

Brueggeman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse. He has also extended his higher education in the Masters Program at Cardinal Stritch University and completed the Minnesota Executive Program at the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management.

Jim Hill
Vice President, Custom Assessment Programs

Jim Hill oversees a staff of more than 90 program managers and project coordinators responsible for the delivery of more than 20 complex, statewide educational testing programs designed to meet the accountability requirements of the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB).

Prior to his work at Harcourt, Hill was vice president of products and technical services for a local manufacturing company. He directed and managed development of new products, production techniques, and testing and certification programs.

Hill earned his master’s degree in science at Georgia Institute of Technology University and a bachelor’s degree in physics, with a minor in business, at Trinity University, San Antonio, TX. He is also a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Aurelio Prifitera
President, Clinical Division and
President, Harcourt Assessment International

Aurelio Prifitera joined Harcourt Assessment’s clinical division, then known as The Psychological Corporation, in 1985, and was president of the division from November 1999 until August 2003, when he was named publisher of Harcourt Assessment and president of Harcourt Assessment International. Prifitera also held positions as vice president of The Psychological Corporation and director of its psychological measurement and human resource measurement groups. As a senior project director, Prifitera developed intellectual, personality and neuropsychological assessments, and coordinated national standardization and validation of psychological assessments.

Prifitera is a member and fellow of the American Psychological Association. He is also a member of the International Neuropsychological Society, the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the National Association of School Psychologists and the Texas Psychological Association.

Prifitera earned his doctorate in clinical psychology at Loyola University and a master’s degree in psychology at the University of Illinois. He also holds a master’s degree in social science from the University of Chicago, as well as a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Syracuse University.
