Measuring Cognitive Ability / Intelligence
To help you evaluate individuals with diverse needs, our assessments offers both verbal and non-verbal measures of intelligence.
These instruments can help:
- Screen for neuropsychological symptoms
- Assess the cognitive status of patients with psychiatric disorders or psychiatric manifestations of neurological diseases
- Measure the general intellectual ability of individuals for whom English is a second language or who read at a low level
- Evaluate special populations such as deaf adults and the elderly
Clinicians use these assessments for a variety of applications, including as part of general psychological assessments, for forensic evaluations, and in counseling settings to help choose interventions that match the client’s intellectual ability.
