Product Summary

Overview

Identify Professionals and Leaders Who Effectively Manage Complex Business Information

The Advanced Numerical Reasoning Appraisal (ANRA) allows you to easily measure higher-level numerical reasoning skills that are important to anyone involved with financial statements, business metrics, and key performance indicators. Involving more than just math and computation skills, ANRA assesses the ability to deduct, interpret and evaluate complex information.

ANRA predicts a candidate’s ability to:

  • Select important numerical information for decision making
  • Compare quantitative information
  • Effectively break down information into essential parts or underlying principles
  • Evaluate the sufficiency of quantitative information available to reach accurate conclusions
  • Norms For: Professional/Individual Contributor, Manager, Executive/Director, and Financial Occupations

Features & Benefits

While most math-oriented assessments focus on computation alone, ANRA emphasizes the use of more advanced analytical skills and enables you to differentiate among candidates on characteristics that matter most.

ANRA has also been designed to differentiate effectively at the higher end of the ability spectrum. The high ceiling effect means that ANRA can adequately challenge individuals who have advanced reasoning skills.

Results are provided in a concise one-page report showing the candidate’s analytical reasoning ability relative to other individuals within the appropriate peer group.

Four norms groups give precise understanding of individuals:

  • Professional/Individual Contributor
  • Manager
  • Executive/Director
  • Financial Occupations

Areas of Assessment

ANRA includes two measures of numerical reasoning:

  • Comparison of Quantities
  • Sufficiency of Information

These subtests place emphasis on analytical rather than straightforward computational skills, and items are easily solved through application of higher level numerical reasoning skills, rather than rote calculation.
